10 questions for Alexandre Cadas

10 Fragen an Alexandre Cadas, Regionalverkaufsleiter für die Schweiz. West mit Schwerpunkt auf dem Fachhandel.

Mr Cadas, how did your day start today?

My workday begins with answering urgent emails. After that, I drive to our customers and use the time on the road to respond to technical queries or arrange appointments. When I’m with the customer, I make sure everything works properly and that their needs are taken into account – especially with a view to future quotes. At the end of the day, my colleagues and I check whether all orders have been released correctly. Back at home, I work on the quotes I received during the day.

What tasks do you take care of as Regional Sales Manager at SIBIR?

My primary task is sales. This involves acquiring new customers and overseeing the existing customer base. I then ensure the smooth processing of orders, deliveries, requests for quotes and the handling of transport damage claims and complaints. My tasks also include negotiating special prices for larger orders and monitoring sales processes.

What are the biggest challenges in your role?

The biggest challenge is building customer loyalty to SIBIR. The more often and closely the customers work with SIBIR, the better the sales team is doing their job.

Which internal functions do you collaborate with most closely?

I work most intensively with the internal sales department in Spreitenbach. They process the orders for my customers in the specialist trade. Then there’s customer service in Pully with respect to technical interventions.

Is this collaboration successful in most cases?

Yes, absolutely. We have an excellent team and we always find effective solutions.

Which SIBIR products are currently popular among your trade customers?

Thanks to the summer, food centres are very popular among our customers at the moment.

How do you rate the current product mix of SIBIR with its own brand, V-ZUG and Gorenje?

The product mix ranges from the entry-level segment to the highest requirements. Gorenje is ideal for customers who have a somewhat smaller budget, but still expect a high standard of quality. SIBIR is mainly focused on medium-priced, very high-quality products with immediate availability, which meet Swiss standards. V-ZUG offers a range that represents Swiss craftsmanship and technology, internationally leading design and a long lifespan.

What skills are particularly important in your position?

It is crucial to listen to all internal stakeholders, service providers and producers, to stay up to date about all aspects and to maintain a positive attitude in any circumstances.

What do you most enjoy about your work?

Most of all, I like getting to know my customers, winning them over, supporting them and offering them the best possible service.

What was your dream job as a child?

I dreamed of being a fighter pilot.
