Daily business in internal sales

Ms Dikkaya, how did your day start today?

I began my work day by processing orders and enquiries from our trade customers. In particular, I made sure that all the orders are entered in full, prioritised correctly and processed in a timely manner.

What tasks do you take care of as an internal sales clerk at SIBIR?

I primarily liaise between our trade customers and SIBIR. I serve our customers, accept orders and occasionally complaints too, process requests and ensure that all the processes are running smoothly.

What are the biggest challenges in your role?

Aligning the various requirements and requests of our clients with our internal processes and inventory levels can be a challenge. Flexibility, good time management and, above all, teamwork are essential here.

Which internal functions do you collaborate with most closely?

Internal sales works with almost every department – but especially logistics, marketing, purchasing and technical support. Our shared goal is to ensure an optimal customer experience. Customer excellence is a challenging goal.

Are you successful in most cases?

The customer experience is best when international supply chains, local administration and national logistics come together seamlessly. This is always our goal and we achieve it very often. However, even minor issues in the process chain can lead to challenges. My colleagues and I look for the best possible alternative solution in these cases.

Which SIBIR products are currently popular?

The trend is moving strongly towards energy efficiency. Depending on the customer segment, however, the scope of functions, price, delivery period or longevity also play a key role. With its own brands and appliances from V-ZUG and Gorenje, SIBIR offers a wide range of standard and trend products. The aerial dryers from ESCO are currently experiencing a surge in popularity – and SIBIR offers complete solutions including washing machines, dehumidifiers, hanging systems and payment solutions.

What is the current stock situation at SIBIR?

Do customers have to endure long delivery times? Our stocks are well-filled and we are working continuously to ensure the availability of products. Fortunately, the global supply issues of 2021 and 2022 are now behind us. However, delivery delays can still arise today for particularly popular articles. We endeavour to keep these delays as short as possible.

What skills are particularly important in your position?

Communication and organisation skills, specialist knowledge and a high degree of customer focus are especially important in my position. It is essential to respond quickly to customer requests while also keeping an eye on internal processes.

What do you most enjoy about your work?

I most enjoy the direct contact with our customers and the positive feedback we receive when they are satisfied with our service and products. I also appreciate the collaboration in my team. Having been a SIBIR employee for quite some time, I also like passing on my expertise and continuously learning new things.

What was your dream job as a child?

When I was a child, my dream job was to become an interpreter. That is because I love languages and I found it fascinating to act as a bridge between cultures. The ability to help and understand people inspired me. I also love different cultures and countries.
